Victor Harbor is the capital of South
Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula and is nestled in the wide, sandy arc of
Encounter Bay. The town has long been a favourite seaside holiday destination
for visitors of all ages.
The Comfort Inn Colonial is situated in the main shopping area of Victor Harbor, offering guests the convenience of being centrally located and only one block away from the picturesque seafront.
The Comfort Inn Colonial offers air-conditioned comfortable units at ground level and upper level, along with kitchenettes and a spa suite is available.
History surrounds you on all sides in Victor Harbor. You can ride behind a placid Clydesdale on the 102 year old famous Horse Drawn Tram to Granite Island, or travel on the superbly restored Steam Ranger “Cockle Train”.
For the nature lover, Victor Harbor also offers the chance to walk amongst the animals, birds and reptiles at Urimbirra Wildlife Park. For relaxation, enjoy a game of tennis, golf, lawn bowls or a spot of fishing or perhaps visit one of the nearby wineries.
After dark, Granite Island is the venue for the Fairy Penguin walks, conducted by accredited National park guides. You can find out more about these curious little birds from the Penguin Interpretive Centre, also on Granite Island.
The Heysen Trail passes through the area of the Bluff, Granite Island and the waters of Encounter Bay, offering bushland walks, punctuated by breathtaking cliff-top views of some of the State's best surf beaches.
For those who prefer a more exhilarating experience, they can see the local sights from the back of a Harley Davidson or go canoeing, go-karting or water sliding at Greenhills Adventure Park.
At the end of the day take yourself along to one of the many restaurants, cafes or hotels and enjoy some of the superb food and wine the region is renowned for.
Whatever you do, don't forget to take your time enjoy all that Victor Harbor has to offer.
